BABY SCREAM- Secret Place
Out now on Eternal Sunday records

Review by Denise Britt

Ok, keeping an open mind here.  I listen to the first track, ‘Hit and Run’ and am thinking WTH?  But being an appreciator of ALL music I go on and listen to the rest of the album.  Hmmm, what to say about Baby Scream?  What an awesome name for a band eh?  Baby Scream! Kind of makes you think you are going to get a big healthy dose of some heavy/death metal.  Um, nope.  More folksy. It’s good; don’t let that description turn you off.  Especially ‘The Atmosphere’.  Damn good song.  I am really digging Juan Pablo Mazzola’s voice.  Very soft and sweet, almost hypnotizing.

Honestly, listening to this album was not the highlight of my week.  Yes, they play well, yes, his voice is very nice, even unique but I just don’t get it musically.

Pros – these guys are from Argentina and they are singing in English like they were born in LA.  Huge props!

Sweet vocals, nice guitars, overall nice sound.

Cons – Put me to sleep.

Sorry Baby Scream, this album did not live up to your kick ass, heavy metal name.

Track list for Secret Place is as follows:

01 The Last Call

03 Secret Place
04 Going North
05 Cold Weather Reggae
