Review by Julian Myles

Jackass 3.5 was released straight to DVD and I can only feel that so many people have missed out. The whole concept of Jackass is obviously one random stunt if stupidity but as usual they have done too much and had to release an extra film of footage, it has everything from commentary to interviews with the Jackass crew, behind the scenes footage and stunt after stunt of hilarity.

One thing I loved about this film was the length of each stunt, nothing lasted very long, so you get laugh after laugh constantly throughout the entirety of this DVD. The use of the phantom camera to slow down time was shown in full in this edition, showing you every little tiny movement of anything in extreme slow motion, some of the stuff filmed using this piece of kit involved a double footed drop kick to Bam’s face, Preston Lacy jiggling his fat around and the ever present penis of Chris Pontius rotating as he windmills in front of the camera.

The film only has a few faults, one being there’s not quite enough of the interview segments throughout, I love hearing what people think about what they are doing, but there was no intensive interviews just a few questions and points from the cast scattered throughout.

Overall anyone who is a fan of Jackass, random you tube clips of people being stupid, or just wants to laugh at another’s apparent misfortune then Jackass 3.5 is an ideal purchase for you, it’s just a shame it can’t come to us in the stunning 3D that was present in the cinemas for Jackass 3.
